NEW HOLLAND'S AUTOMATIC BALE WAGONS WIN finOvation AWARD

National Farm Machinery Show, Louisville, KY  (February 16–19, 2005) --Farm Industry News, a monthly magazine that provides high-income farmers with information about new products and technology for the farm, has presented a finOvation award to New Holland’s BW28 and BW38 Automatic Bale Wagons. The awards are presented to the best innovations of 2004 designed to help producers farm more efficiently and more profitably.

“Human ingenuity shines through in these products we’ve selected as our 2005 finOvation Award winners,” the magazine reports in its January issue. “This year’s winners include products that cost only $37 and complex machinery costing $229,000. In total, we’ve picked 21 products that cover the range of farm inputs. We use reader inquiries to choose top products in the different categories, as well as votes from our Team FIN farmer panel.

“Automatic bale wagons save time in the hay field. Two new self-propelled wagons introduced by New Holland this past summer make the job seem effortless, thus earning the implements the top spot in the feed equipment category.

“The BW28 and BW38 feature a new Stack Command™ control system located in a comfortable cab. The controls include a large digital display with up to 35 preprogrammed stack patterns and 20 custom patterns. The wagons are equipped with a five-speed automatic transmission and two hydraulic systems with three pumps.

“The BW28 has a long frame and load rack that handles a variety of two-tie and three-tie bales. The BW38 handles three-bale-wide stacks of 14×18in. or 16×18in. bales.”
