New Holland, PA (January 8, 2008) -  New Holland’s new T1000 Series sub-compact tractors cruise through chores with the power to handle a variety of front or rear-mounted implements. Powerful three-cylinder diesel engines provide proven strength and reliable service. At 26-hp, the T1030 has the most engine horsepower of any sub-compact tractor on the market.

New on these models is a foldable ROPS (Roll Over Protective Structure), which makes it easier to maneuver in areas with height restrictions. Also new is a tough R4 industrial multi-purpose tire package. These industrial tires provide the traction of ag tires and the flotation of turf tires for longer wear than ag tires on hard surfaces and less turf damage.

The operator’s platform has also been redesigned to make it more roomy and comfortable, and to improve the ergonomics and ease of operation. Upgrades include lowering the brake pedal so it requires less effort to apply, changing the parking brake from a foot lever to a hand-engaged lever, raising the steering wheel to achieve a more comfortable position, and providing a new, high-density textured plastic floor.

Plenty of power for attachments

The dependable three-cylinder diesel engine provides plenty of power for all kinds of jobs with two PTOs to power front- and rear-mounted implements. The standard mid PTO (2,200 rpm) can power a 60-inch mid-mount mower or optional front-attach implements. The rear PTO (540 rpm) and 700-pound three-point hitch permit operation of rotary tillers, mowers and other Category I implements.

Sensitrak™ automatic 4WD

For the ultimate in traction control, the optional Sensitrak™ system (available on T1030 only) engages and disengages the 4WD automatically as required to reduce scuffing the turf, save wear and tear on the tires and increase the life of driveline components.
