NEW HOLLAND, PA (July 17, 2006) - New Holland has introduced a new, narrower header for the HW “5 Series” Speedrower™ self-propelled windrowers. The 10-disc 2353 Discbine® disc header delivers a narrow, 13-foot cutting width, which is especially advantageous for haymakers working in climates where high relative humidity makes drydown difficult. The slim operating and transport width also make it easier to maneuver in smaller fields and on tight roadways and lanes.
The 2353 Discbine header is designed to match both New Holland 186 PTO-hp HW345 and 225 PTO-hp HW365 Speedrower self-propelled windrower models.
Discbine disc headers are designed to work fast and
efficiently. For fast drydown, the 2353 Discbine disc
header features 102-inch chevron-design, intermeshing
rubber rolls for reliable, gentle and thorough conditioning.
The torsion-bar system maintains constant roll pressure
for consistent conditioning, yet releases to allow slugs
of heavy material to pass through.
A patented, independent
modular disc cutterbar provides smooth, quiet, trouble-free
mowing. This modular design also allows fast and inexpensive
cutterbar servicing. The knives on the cutterbar travel
at 3,000 rpm to slice through thick, wet crops, fire
ant hills or gopher mounds and are reversible for twice
the cutting life.

Time-saving convenience is built into this header. An
operator can adjust conditioning roll pressure with a
simple hand crank. And easy adjustment of the roll gap
requires just one wrench, and is performed from the top
side of the header.
