With New Holland incentive...
Enthusiastic Recruiters Help Biodiesel Alliance Grow

The ranks of the Biodiesel Alliance doubled in size during the past year, thanks in part to a recognition program that the National Biodiesel Board (NBB) and New Holland announced in 2003. More than 700 groups, ranging from environmental organizations to school associations to government agencies and fuel suppliers, are now members of the Alliance.

The NBB honored five recruiters for their work in gaining greater recognition of biodiesel benefits by recruiting new members to the Biodiesel Alliance. The top two recruiters, Wisconsin Agriculture Spokesperson Natalie Parmentier and Saginaw, Michigan farm couple Gail and Thomas Frahm, each won a year’s use of a New Holland Boomer™ compact tractor for their efforts. The other three top recruiters received 55-gallon drums of biodiesel fuel as prizes.

NBB Executive Director Joe Jobe poses with the two top recruiters for the Biodiesel Alliance, Natalie Parmentier (standing) and Gail Frahm, (seated on tractor). They each received a year's use of a New Holland Boomer™ tractor for their recruiting efforts.

“The success of these recruiters proves the popularity of biodiesel as a result of its benefit to human health, the environment and the U.S. economy while it reduces dependence on foreign oil,” says NBB Executive Director Joe Jobe. “The recruiting incentive program was every bit as successful as we and our program partner, New Holland, expected. It showed that it is easy to generate support for biodiesel. We hope that friends of biodiesel will continue to recruit to the Alliance, since everyone benefits from greater awareness and use of this American-made fuel. We appreciate the leadership of New Holland and for showing their long-range vision for biodiesel.”

WHAT ARE THE BIODIESEL ALLIANCE & BIODIESEL BACKERS?

The Biodiesel Alliance is a diverse coalition of organizations, agencies and businesses who find common ground in their support for biodiesel fuel. Founded and managed by the National Biodiesel Board, the Biodiesel Alliance supports information sharing and opportunities to help advance the use of clean-burning, renewable biodiesel fuel.

Individuals who support biodiesel fuel may choose to become a Biodiesel Backer. This program was formed in response to growing interest from individuals who want to take advantage of new information and opportunities to help promote the use of biodiesel fuel. Both Biodiesel Alliance members and Biodiesel Backers are instrumental in helping America realize the health, environmental, national energy security and rural economic benefits of biodiesel fuel.

TO JOIN, go to www.biodiesel.org and complete the short registration form.  It costs you nothing because there are no membership dues. As a Biodiesel Alliance member or Biodiesel Backer, you are simply expressing your support for the increased use of biodiesel fuel across America and gaining access to timely information about new developments and opportunities to help support biodiesel fuel use.
