New Holland TG tractors test best in class

The latest independent OECD/Nebraska Tests confirm what New Holland TG Series tractor owners already know: a TG tractor is the best in its class when it comes to lugging ability, pulling power, hydraulic flow and fuel efficiency.

The University of Nebraska Tractor Testing Laboratory conducted the tests on the TG tractors according to Organization of Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) standards. The test results show that the TG Series tractors are best in class in a number of key areas that affect productivity and efficiency.

The Nebraska Tests show that when it comes to lugging ability and pulling power, the TG leads the industry. The TG has the highest maximum torque rise of any tractor in its class – up to 64.3%. This exceptional torque rise gives TG tractors the power to pull right through the toughest spots.

TG tractors are built strong with a standard 3-point lift capacity of up to 16,375 pounds. The High Lift Option increases that number to 17,931 pounds. And TG tractors have lots of raw pulling power. The Nebraska Tests rated the maximum ballasted drawbar pull at up to 30,650 pounds.

TG tractors have one of the highest hydraulic delivery rates on the market at up to 39 gallons per minute – and that’s before adding New Holland’s exclusive optional MegaFlow™ hydraulic system. With MegaFlow, hydraulic flow can be boosted to 70.2 gpm to run air seeders, potato harvesters and other specialty equipment more efficiently.

Tests performed on TG tractors show fuel efficiency of up to 18.07 hp-hrs per gallon. Unlike miles per gallon, horsepower-hours per gallon measures the amount of work accomplished with each gallon of fuel. The higher the number, the better the fuel efficiency.

In addition, New Holland tractors also offer an exclusive productivity-enhancing feature, the optional tight-turning SuperSteer™ FWD front axle option. No other tractor can match the 16.5-feet turning radius of a TG tractor on 30-inch rows.
