New Holland is part of Century Farm

There are few professions like farming that see generation after generation continue the business. So, when there's a success, it's worth celebrating. That's why Faribault, Minnesota, farmer Dale Bauer wrote to New Holland.

"In 2003, our farm has been in our family for 100 years," he says.

"We run about 700 acres of corn, soybeans, oats and alfalfa," he continues. "We also milk 50 Jersey cows and do some custom planting and combining. Last year, we started to do twin-row planting of our corn and soybeans. It is working out very well."

Proudly, New Holland has been part of the Bauer tradition.

"The New Holland equipment got started on our farm in 1956 when my dad got his first baler, a New Holland Super 66 and two New Holland wagons. That baler replaced the horses and hay loader.

After that, New Holland equipment just kept getting added to our farm. We have New Holland 8970, 8360 and 7710 tractors, aTR™96 combine, an LX885 skid steer, a 900 chopper, a 40 blower, a 640 baler, a 306 spreader plus other New Holland equipment. We are very happy with it all."

Dale and his son, Scott, have a partnership and run the family farm. Their wives, Shirley and Lisa, both work off the farm but still help with the operation. With continued success and dedication, some day grandsons Alex, Kyle, and Eric may keep the tradition going.
